I hope you’re all doing well. Let me rant a little bit. It’s so sad my monitor broke and it’s gonna take a while to save up for a replacement. It’s gonna impede my work and this a lot. Ugh. It was only 3-ish years old. Somehow my luck for electronic things is horrible. They always break so fast or have an issue from the get go. Why does this always happen to me?! — rant over. Please take care of yourselves!

Devices breaking down can have many reasons, many sources of faults. If many electronics break down in your home, you may have issues with the electricity, either high voltage from time to time, or lower than normal for some longer periods of time (as I recall). If might be worth to check if this is a recurring issue.
I still remember a time when a lighting hit the building I live in (apartment building) and “deep fried” my PC’s power source.
Unfortunately it wasn’t only with appliances. Even portable things come broken or malfunction at some point. I think it might just be my luck lol OH and lightning strikes have definitely broken things for me before too lol
