Yasutaka’s group is heading east on the national highway route 153. The two bicycles are travelling on an undulating yet relatively level road.
On the way, Eru was excited because of the surroundings ーー or rather, she’s still excited.
「A, amazing…… This is the first time I’ve seen such a long stretch of road…… Moreover, it’s been paved neatly with tiny black stones…… Say, Yasutaka-san?
Yasutaka, having heard Aoi’s theory, repeatedly compared Eru and Aoi with a blank expression.

When Yasutaka opened his eyes, it was already bright outside.
Hurriedly, he checked the wall clock for the time. The current time is 07:48 AM. School starts at 8:30 AM. It’s a 30 minute walk from Yasutaka’s house to school, so he has approximately 10 minutes buffer time.

「W-what is happening!? I-is that an alarm for a demonic beast attack or something……!?」
The girl is eating up Yasutaka’s special cheese lettuce sandwich in no time at all.
Watching over the charming situation, Yasutaka waited for the girl to finish eating before calling out to her.
「You want something to drink? I can prepare some Japanese tea quickly …… but if instant is fine then there’s also coffee and black tea?」
Hi there. I’m picking up this series from Nekoyashiki. I started the translation here because I couldn’t access chapter 1 and chapter 2 due to broken links at the time this was made and his last update was last year. Recently his site went down so I asked and was granted permission to post his prologue here, in case you haven’t read it. Anyway, I have more to say but for now, please enjoy.
Edit: It looks so rough reading it now. I will probably redo these early chapters one day but my priority are the new chapters. Please bear with them for now ><
