I saw a dream.
One woman had a dream.

ーーーーThat day was a day dyed silvery white. However, what was thoroughly ingrained into my heart that day was, by no means, a scene that a poet would have exhausted his words to glorify.
The sight reflected in my eyes were the smiles of depraved aristocratic clowns. The laughter of foxes in lamb’s skin. Contemptuous gazes. They were all terrible things.
「ーーHah, hah…… hah……」
Run… run… run!
Even when the sun went down, even when the night grew late, even when the morning came, I continued to run.
The provoking laughter echoed countless times in my head whenever I thought back upon it.
Just one.
With the one false fact that I was involved in the murder of a nobleman, my life changed completely. Driven out of my home, disparagement would have come flying if I headed to human habitation.
I explained so desperately. That it was a lie. That I would never do such a thing. Yet no one believed in me.
Not even a single member of my family believed me.
On the contrary, they poured on harsh words such as being a disgrace to the household and struck me with all their strength.
And they roared in laughter from seeing my swollen face. It was a memory I could not forget even if I wanted to.
「Mm, u, I don’t want to see anyone’s face……」
Everyone was an enemy.
Each and every human, without exception, was my enemy.
There was no place I could rely upon. I want to escape from this life. That was how I thought, but nothing in this world would change with my death.
Somewhere, the sounds of laughter had just increased by one.
For that reason, I choose to survive, no matter how unsightly and uncouth it may be. That was now my only reason for living.
「That. Is. Why!」
I could not live in a place like this.
So, naturally, the places I could go to were limited.
For example, the forest inhabited by a great deal of monsters which had become the den of thievesーー the 『Demon Forest』. A place where no one would go to. That is why I will go there.
Fortunately, I, as the daughter of a noble, had been taught by a renowned magician. I can deal with some monsters.
Thinking so, Iーー Zelea Veissest, headed to the 『Demon Forest』 .
But this was a story that happened exactly seven years ago.
