Cheery Laeva
The Trination’s training in the dungeons of the Demon Continent had begun.
However, Laeva and I entrusted the Garuda to the Sanctuary Knights and rode the Ouranos back to the Sanctuary.
I believe we could entrust the rest to the Sanctuary Knights.
Still, there’s a reason why Laeva and I were returning.
「Hm, hmm hmmm! My own airplane!」
Laeva was in such a good mood that she was even humming.
「Hmhmmm, what form should it be~! The weapons could be somewhat okay~. But I want it to be even more mobile than the Ouranos.~
When I was piloting the Ouranos, Laeva was taking down notes.
My careless mention of the a small aircraft had changed into Laeva’s personal aircraft before I knew it. At this point, I can’t really say it wasn’t for her personally.
「I will go digging for mithril once we’re back.」
「Huh? I thought we still have some leftover mithril?」
「Fufufufu, Laeva’s aircraft would use an abundance of mithril alloy!」
「I-I see.」
Apparently, Laeva was going to use mostly mithril alloy on most of the aircraft.
What kind of mithril alloy she would use would depend on the location it would be used for.
「Still, Laeva, if you’re going to pilot something faster and more maneuverable than the Ouranos, you’ll need a gravity controller magic device in the cockpit.」
「……as I thought.」
Even with our high levels, and superhuman capabilities by my previous life’s standards, I wasn’t sure if we could fully pilot that. If we were to pilot the personal aircraft that Laeva wanted, we would be hit by strong G-force.
The kind of vehicle that Laeva had in mind was so extreme that it could make the existing cutting edge jets of my past life seem like child’s play.
「Regarding gravity control, if we were to consult with Gnome and the Great Spirits during development, I think it should be fine.」
「Is that true?!」
「Yeah. The magic formula for levitation is a form of gravity control, after all. If it can somehow alleviate some of the Gs, that would be good.」
「Ohh! It should be fine then!」
Laeva became despondent at the issue of G-force while piloting, but she was revitalized at the glimpse of a solution to that problem
Even so, the knight training in the Demon Continent was entrusted to Galahad-san, and Garuda was going to be used by the knights, so we don’t actually need a carrier-based aircraft right away.
Well, if Laeva really wanted to make it, then of course I would help.
The Ouranos that we were piloting did not land in the Sanctuary, but rather our base in the Demon Continent.
No matter how fast the Ouranos was compared to the Garuda, it still couldn’t compare to the Teleport Gate.
After storing the Ouranos and greeting the Aligerious Tribe managing this base, Laeva and I went through the basement and teleported back to the Sanctuary.
「Papa!」
「Woah.」
When I went to the living room, Flora jumped at me.
「「「Welcome home.」」」
「I’m back.」
It seems the children have just woken up, and Sophia, Maria, and Marnie were in the living room spending time with them.
「That was quick.」
「Yeah. I thought it would be better if we accompanied them for the maiden voyage, so we just went to the temporary base.」
We drank the tea served by a maid and took a breather.
Curious why Laeva looked antsy to leave for the workshop, Sophia asked.
「So, why does Laeva seem so fidgety?」
「A personal aircraft! A personal aircraft!」
「W-what does that mean?」
「Hm? A personal aircraft?」
Yeah, that wouldn’t really get the point across.
「Well, inside the Garuda, we were talking about aircrafts, and we ended up talking about making a small aircraft for Laeva.」
「Ahh, hence the personal aircraft.」
Sophia seemed convinced why Laeva was in a good mood.
「Takumi-sama, Laeva will go to the workshop to make a rough sketch!」
「Ah, yeah, I’ll join you after playing with the kids for a bit.」
「Then, I’ll be on my way.」
The fidgety Laeva left in a blink of an eye. i guess she couldn’t endure it anymore.
That said, even while I was having father-daughter time with my kids, I pondered over a gravity control type device that could reduce the G-force in the cockpit.
On top of that, I was thinking about structural reinforcements for the plane to endure the maneuvers Laeva wanted and reinforcements using a magic reinforcements.
Whenever we make something, planning it out, designing it, and revising it are all fun.
Laeva and I were of the same cloth, after all.
After spending some time playing with Haruka, Etoile, and Flora who were using me as a toy as I sat on the sofa for a while, the maids took the girls for their naptime and I gave Sophia and others notice and headed for the workshop.
Eventually, I’d love to try making a flying golem or something like that.
