Joint Training 1

A day some time after Simon left the Sanctuary, the Imperial Guards of Valkyra Kigndom, Volton Margravery Knights, Rockford Earldom Knights ー basically select knights from noble families in the Royalist faction had arrived at the Sanctuary.

Gathering the knights was the Imperial Guard Knight Commander Guilford.
It seems he left the protection of King Valkyra to his second in command, and was handed the duty of commanding the knights of the Royalist faction.

They were in the grassland area a little ways away from the Annexed district of the Sanctuary. It would have been fine to use the Sanctuary Knights training grounds, but we couldn’t have the residents worrying when a great number of foreign knights come,

The joint training with the select Valkyra Knights was about to start, the leader of the visiting Valkyra Knights, Guilford-san, was talking to Galahad-san, the Knight Commander of our Sanctuary Knights.

Galahad-san’s somewhat awkward expression was likely due to being self-conscious for pushing the heavy responsibility of being the leader of the Imperial Knight onto his son, Guilford-san, while he got to do as he please.

In the first place, the joint training today came to because of a request from King Valkyra and Lord Simon.

Apparently, upon seeing the Sanctuary Knights with his own eyes, Lord Simon discussed his findings with King Valkyra, and the king decided it would be beneficial to have the knights of Valkyra Kingdom to train as well.

As expected, Galahad-san had no reason to deny a request from King Valkyra and Lord simon, as well as his son Guilford. Though it would be a hassle for me, I agreed so long as they were able to pass through the Sanctuary barrier.

It was inevitable that a certain number of them were unable to pass through the barrier and had to return dejectedly.

What was actually troubling me is that when we actually ended up telling Lord Simon that we train in high difficulty dungeons in the Demon Continent.

King Valkyra and Lord Simon were aware of the gigantic magic battleship cruiser Oceanus, so they assumed we use that to travel to the Demon Continent.

Still, despite how fast the Oceanus was, the distance to the Demon Continent still took a day by ship.

We actually use a Gate to teleport. However, since Teleport Gate can’t be revealed, we would have had to go by ship despite how bothersome it was, but I decided to use the Ouranos.

If we expanded the interior of the Ouranos, it would be a little cramped, but we could do two round trips with everyone in two days.

「I was surprised by Mother’s situation as well, but……」
「Right? If Cornelia was working hard for the Sanctuary, I couldn’t just loiter around in the garden, now could I?」

It seems the conversation concluded with Galahad-san as the victor.

Perhaps we should have cleared it with Lord Simon and King Valkyra before we asked Galahad-san to be the commander.

Having reluctantly been convinced, Guilford-san stared at Galahad intently.

「Still, you’ve truly become so youthful again, how did that happen? Moreover, Mother also seems somewhat rejuvenated.」

I could understand Guilford-san’s questioning as well.

Well, in my opinion, the women of this world marry at a younger age, so they were still young despite having grandchildren.

However, Guilford found this completely unacceptable.

「Why is Mother at a higher level than me!?」
「D-don’t worry about it.」

He likely could have never imagined he would be out-leveled by his own mother.

I suppose even I would find that disagreeable.
