However, Fluna and her unit showed no fear of the Sea Serpent.

The unit that dispersed in five directions had sped up, turned around, and pointed their sickle spears towards the Sea Serpent, becoming one unified spear.

As they pierced its gigantic body and withdrawing quickly, the five had been too fast for the Sea Serpent to grasp an opening for a counterattack.

As Fluna and her unit swam freely and at high speed, they drew traces of red, blue, green, yellow, and pink.

It wouldn’t have made sense if the sickle spear that could cut a dragon’s scales wouldn’t cut the scales that the Sea Serpent was proud of. It shrieked at the continuous onslaught.

Instinctually realizing that it was in a predicament, the Sea Serpent tried to target the evacuating mermaids as it escaped, but it felt more pain than it had ever felt before.

Intense pain came alongside the loss of vision for the Sea Serpent.

Fluna’s unit did not fail to notice the Sea Serpent’s plan to escape. At Fluna’s hand signals, Lana and Mina gouged out the Sea Serpent’s eyes and took away its vision.

Fluna and her unit turned into five arrows from different directions aimed at the Sea Serpent wriggling and thrashing in the ocean from its injuries and blindness, piercing deep into its neck.

And with well timed slashes, the mermaids were able to decapitate the head of the Sea Serpent.

The body of the decapaitated Sea Serpent continued to thrash for a while, but that, too, stopped moving soon after.

The battle underwater seemed to have concluded.

The surface of the ocean calmed, as if the chaos never happened.

It was then that Fluna and her team emerged from the water. I knew from their presence that the five were safe, but seeing them with my own eyes was more reassuring.

I moved the small boat closer to Fluna and the others to store the Sea Serpent into my Item Box.
