To the Demon Continent

The carriages of Valkyra Kingdom and Yggurle Kingdom lined the front of the Lodge.

「Mimirrr! Come home with usss!」
「I decline. Please board your carriage post haste.」
「Now now dear, your daughter will dislike you if you’re being obstinate.」

Being seen off by Mimir-sama, King Yggurle whined about going home together when he was forced into the carriage by Madam Lumia.
Today, Madam Lumia, who had stayed far too long, and King Yggurle were returning to their country.

For some reason, I found it a bit concerning that she really got along with Lord Simon’s wife, Madam Rosary, but maybe everything will go back to normal…… wait, Madam Elizabeth was still here.

It was then that Lord Simon and Madam Rosary approached.

「Thank you for letting us stay. The harvest festival here was more fun than even in Valkyra Kingdom.」
「I’m glad to hear you had fun.」
「We appreciate the souvenir of wine.」
「Not at all, we received plenty of congratulatory gifts for our children too.」

It seems it was the right choice to gift them a bit more wine in return for their gift since they seemed so pleased.

「Well then, if there is any progress regarding the civil servants, I will send word through your store in the Royal Capital.」
「Thank you very much. Workers who could immediately be of service would be of much help.」

Lord Simon’s proposal to dispatch civil servants was a very welcoming negotiation to me. Moreover, while my three aides had been doing their best, they had spoke of wanting me to look for experienced people who could work immediately.

「Iruma-san, I very much appreciate the hospitality you have shown me as well.」
「Not at all, it gives us joy if you also had fun, Madam Rosary. Please come again.」
「Yes, I most certainly will.」
「Well, there may be very few chances for Rosary to come here, but when it happens, please take care of her.」
「Yes, by all means, please come and visit.」

After bidding Lord Simon and Madam Rosary farewell, I watched as they left through the Sanctuary gate.

King Yggurle and Madam Lumia, as well as Lord Simon and Madam Rosary each went their own way, and we began preparing for our dungeon hunting in the Demon Continent.

Today’s theme was to regain Sophia, Maria, and Marnie’s battle senses. as well as to level them up.

Sophia and Maria’s levels were high from the start, so if I had to say, then it’s mainly to regain their battle senses.

Sophia and Maria had been with me the longest, so our gap was narrow. When Laeva arrived, they were nearly equal, but they were still higher than Akane and Lulu-chan. That gap had shortened considerably though.

With that in mind, the dungeons they wanted were a high difficulty dungeon, as well as a dungeon that spawns plenty of humanoid monsters.
It was to level up as well as to refine their fighting skills.

If they simply wanted to level up, it would be more efficient to go to the usual dragon dungeons and the Forest of Death nearby.
If they simply wanted to fight, rather than fighting a gigantic dragon with boring attacks, it would be better to fight against humanoids like High Orcs and High Ogres who fight melee and use weapons.
It goes without saying that there are places even we do not know of deeper in the Forest of Death, and so it would be far too dangerous to regain one’s fighting sense there.

Immediately, we started preparing to search for a high difficulty dungeon.
Considering our children, we were doing a day trip, or at worst, an overnight trip.
Still, even if it was overnight, we couldn’t be careless with our search of a high difficulty dungeon. We need to be well prepared.

「Then Laeva will maintain everyone’s equipment.」
「I’ll resupply our potions.」
「Marnie-san and I will pack our food.」
「Lulu will help too nya.」
「Then Sophia and I will keep the children company.」
「Indeed. I am incapable of helping with cooking and preparing potions, after all.」

Laeva quickly headed to the workshop to maintain everyone’s equipment.
I resupplied the potions. I still had some in the Item Box, but it wasn’t a problem to have more.
Lulu-chan was going to help Marnie and Maria with cooking several packed meals. Easy-to-eat meals were very much welcome inside dungeons.
Akane was going to take care of the kids with Sophia.

I might get scolded for saying this but Akane really likes children and dotes on Etoile, Haruka, and Flora.
Not only does she feed them, and comforts them in her arms, she even helps change their diapers without any hesitation.
She and Lulu-chan always take care of the three and they’ve been such big helps.

Once all preparations were done, we entrusted the house to Jeeves and Maribelle, said our goodbyes to the babies, headed to Teleport Gate in the basement and transferred over to our base in the Demon Continent.
