Death Match
The knight squads power-leveling started in monster nests in the Savage Lands under Sophia and Dante-san’s command.
Sophia’s Familiar, the Thunder Eagle Gloam, also participated as a supporter, so it wasn’t likely wasn’t that dangerous.
After going through a certain amount of power leveling in monster nests in the Savage Lands, the aspiring knights were taken to the Forest of Death.
Aside from the Water Spirit Knights, the three other orders…… no, trainee squads, I guess, they were grouped into teams of five, with Sophia, Maria, Marnie, Laeva, Akane, Lulu-chan, Kaede, Titan, and I leading them.
Additionally, Glome, Ferryl, And Seru assisted with searching for enemies and supported the trainees.
I took four teams of five totaling to twenty with me through the outskirts for the Forest of Death.
「Ah, perfect. There are two Treants here. Should we take turns doing defense training?」
「D-defense training?」
Still speaking like a samurai, Dan-kun asked in surprise.
Certainly, deliberately allowing monsters to attack you in the name of training wasn’t a normal thing people do, but if their opponent was a Treant, it was the perfect training partner for the group now.
「Yes, the training will be one person entering the Treant’s attack range and learning to parry. It is a relatively safer in comparison to actual combat.」
「……haha, how spartan of you.」
「Really? It’s a normal Treant, so its attacks aren’t that strong, and more than anything, they don’t move very much so it’s easy. Of course, it wouldn’t be the same if it was an Elder Treant.」

Dan and Madd looked like they were about to face death as they headed towards the Treants.

Because of that, it was ideal for training.
Given how Sophia, my other team members, and I were supporting them, I’d say the trainees were lucky they could accumulate actual combat experience relatively safely.
「Okay! Dan, Madd, switch!」

Noticing Dan and Madd’s fatigue, I made them switch with the other members.
「The members on standby, make sure to train by observation.」

「No, please keep your voices down. This isn’t that deep in, it’s still the continent’s top monster nest, after all.」
Actually, it would be nice if they could not only observe the others’ fights while also staying vigilant of their surroundings.
They took turns fighting against the two Treants, and their forms gradually improved.
It was the same when I went up against the Elder Treant. Skills improve efficiently in combat.

It seems they’ve finally defeated the two Treants.
「Then after I store it, let’s search for the next one.」

Conveniently, the shallow areas of the Forest of Death was inhabited by plenty of Treants.
We had no trouble finding them.
I quickly stored the Treants into my Item Box, then walked to find our next prey.

The Forest of Death really was nice because the Treant population is dense. It didn’t take long for us to find our next Treants.

Just then, the trio Dan-kun, Madd-kun, and Bill-kun charged at the Treants.
Yup, at this pace, our subjugation speed should gradually hasten, so maybe we could even supply Treant wood to Papeck-san.
